Ok…have you ever worked with someone that just absolutley got on your nerves to the point that you just wanted to scream!!!!!!!!! I work with this woman who has got to be the most annoying person in the entire world. She talks so loud and she can be so stupid sometimes!!! I can’t hardly stand to be in the same room with her!!! And she’s always worried about what I eat…I’m not her daughter…she should just leave me alone!!!! Sorry just had to vent a little here…

Call to Continuing Conversion

Hi again! I just wanted everyone to know how excited I am to be going through RCIA and that I will be confirmed at Easter. Our parish just joined many others yesterday at the Cathedral of the Immacualte Conception in Memphis for the Rite of Election and the Call to Continuing Conversion. That was the first time I had ever been in a Cathedral and I was overwhelmed!! It was so beautiful!!! Our Bishop, Bishop Terry Steib, of course performed the celebration. He was outstanding!! I got to meet him afterwards and he was so friendly and nice. A definite people-person! Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone!

Ok. Why does everyone have to be such mean, hateful, angry, and rude people???? I’m at work and I just got off the phone with one of those people. She is mad because she didn’t leave us specific instructions on what to do about something so we did what we would normally do on it. So then she calls and gripes and fusses about it. I am just so sick of this place I want to scream. I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!!

Waiting on some new Food

I wish my Nutrisystem food would hurry up and get here!! Its supposed to be delivered today. I’ve run out of stuff I like and need some variety bad!!!

I have been eating sushi for about a week. Its the only thing that is remotely healthy in my area. At least its good though!

Anyway, just had to rant a little about my food!

Reflection.
The liturgical use of ashes originated in the Old Testament times. Ashes symbolized mourning, mortality and penance. In the Book of Esther, Mordecai put on sackcloth and ashes when he heard of the decree of King Ahasuerus to kill all of the Jewish people in the Persian Empire (Esther 4:1). Job repented in sackcloth and ashes (Job 42:6). Prophesying the Babylonian captivity of Jerusalem, Daniel wrote, “I turned to the Lord God, pleading in earnest prayer, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes” (Daniel 9:3).
Jesus made reference to ashes, “If the miracles worked in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they would have reformed in sackcloth and ashes long ago” (Matthew 11:21).
In the Middle Ages, the priest would bless the dying person with holy water, saying, “Remember that thou art dust and to dust thou shalt return.”
The Church adapted the use of ashes to mark the beginning of the penitential season of Lent, when we remember our mortality and mourn for our sins. In our present liturgy for Ash Wednesday, we use ashes made from the burned palm branches distributed on the Palm Sunday of the previous year. The priest blesses the ashes and imposes them on the foreheads of the faithful, making the sign of the cross and saying, “Remember, man you are dust and to dust you shall return,” or “Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel.” As we begin this holy season of Lent in preparation for Easter, we must remember the significance of the ashes we have received: We mourn and do penance for our sins. We again convert our hearts to the Lord, who suffered, died, and rose for our salvation. We renew the promises made at our baptism, when we died to an old life and rose to a new life with Christ. Finally, mindful that the kingdom of this world passes away, we strive to live the kingdom of God now and look forward to its fulfillment in heaven.

Q: What is Lent?
A: Lent is the forty day period before Easter, excluding Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday (the day before Easter Sunday). [This traditional ennumeration does not precisely coincide with the calendar according to the liturgical reform. In order to give special prominence to the Sacred Triduum (Mass of the Lord's Supper, Good Friday, Easter Vigil) the current calendar counts Lent as only from Ash Wednesday to Holy Thursday, up to the Mass of the Lord's Supper. Even so, Lenten practices are properly maintained up to the Easter Vigil, excluding Sundays, as before.]

The Job

Well…one of the girls I work with quit yesterday. Her last day is Apr. 1. She was our sr. partner’s secretary so I wonder what he’ll do without her? I can’t wait until I can leave and go teach. I’m working on my Master’s now so maybe that’ll be one day soon…

Mad about my Phone!!! :(

Ok, I’ve had my new Cingular 3125 phone for maybe a month and a half. And Saturday it just died! I lost all my stuff on it too. I had the sweetest picture of my cat, Park, who never sits still and I got him to look so cute for that picture and now its gone!!! I also lost all my contacts too. I couldn’t save anything after it died so I’m just lost. It makes me soooooo mad!!!!!!! So if any of you that read this were in my contacts or just want me to have your phone number, let me know and I’ll put you in again!

People can be so annoying

Why is it that the people that you work with have to be the most annoying people in the entire world. It doesn’t matter if its your boss or just your co-workers. They are so annoying. Our office is taking a cruise and everyone is just excited over it! I’m not going because I have a class that I cannot miss. Sorry but I value my future more than most of the people I work with. I plan to get out of here soon!

And then if that isn’t enough. I was hoping that we wouldn’t have many closings while they were gone but we have one idiot who keeps setting them for one attorney (who is going on the cruise) even though he told us to try to set closings for the days that he isn’t going to be gone. But nooooo, we have to set them for when they want them! Not try to move them around. It just drived me insane!!!

I will be so glad when I have a teaching job and I don’t have to work with these uneducated idiots anymore. I can’t stand it. I’ve never been more miserable in my life and I know it’s because of this place. I hate it sooooo much you couldn’t even imagine. Everyone has just got to be all in your business and personally, my business is no one’s business but my own unless I want someone to know it.

I’m just sick of it. I wish I would get a call about a teaching job a lot sooner than later!!!!
